CAVEATS AND OPTIONS
1. The texts used for the peer dictation can be anything you want the students to spend a little extra time withâa recipe, key points of a lecture or reading, a list of vocabulary words and their definitions, or a list of inspirational quotes.
2. You can have students include the punctuation marks in their dictation. In this way, they become familiar with the words for the marks and the marks themselves, as well as noticing when they are used in context.
3. This is a good way to introduce the importance of using quotation marks to denote that you are recording exactly what another person has said or written.
